Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center is proud of its’ relationships with several area schools of nursing and coordinates the placements for nursing and nursing assistive  students in over 80 clinical sites within the system.  Representatives from our nursing leadership are also active members of the advisory boards from area colleges.   Our commitment as a teaching facility and the expertise of our professional staff,  provides quality clinical experiences in all five of our campuses and all facilities across our system. Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center provides clinical sites for initial degree students seeking initial RN licensure, RN-BSN students,  masters’ degree nursing students , Nurse Practitioner students,  CRNA students and other graduate or doctoral nursing students. Also coordinated through nursing services are the patient care technician students, surgical technology students, and nurse aide students.   A preceptor handbook  is available to guide the clinical experience during  an RN students’ scheduled senior practicum experience.  Students and faculty are welcomed to join in our educational sessions and participate in our system professional practice councils.
